I've seen some funky ars guitar shapes in my life, but this bass guitar is easily the funniest to me. I have to admit I love practical jokes and I love the double take nature of this one! Brilliant!

I can’t believe somebody thought it was photoshopped. It’s pretty sweet, though. I’m willing to bet I know its tuning (D and A).

This is absolutely true. i’m from Denmark, and i’ve seen them live a couple of times. The bass player always use just 2 strings. he gets his basses made in koege, south of copenhagen.
umm Photoshop is not a verb… stop using it as one… plus this guitar is awsome

It’s not photoshopped, I saw them last year at a festival, Stig also has a space rocket and lots of other funny/crazy basses
I guess this bassplayer just figured why have more strings I only use the low ones anyway…

NOT PHOTOSHOP, it’s a real bass – seen them live… They’re called D.A.D, which stands for Disneyland After Dark, a name they had to drop after Disney sued them. The bass-player, Stig, has a number of crazy designs, but always plays with two strings only. They had mild success in the 80s and 90s, so I’m sure you can find them on youtube.

im not even a very skeptical person but i thought it was photoshopped as well and i play bass and have been for 5 years, but im surprised no one made a comment about his clear bass cabinets thats crazy as well.

it does look a little photoshopped, just around the headstock. the real headstock…that looks like a body…, not the real body that looks like a headstock.
actually it looks like MS Paint, not photoshop. but i don’t doubt that it’s not real.
D:A:D is a Danish band used to be known as Disneyland After Dark,until Disney sued them for using Disneyland in their name been putting out some great albums since 1979.. I know I have about 8 of them.. Stig who is pictured here has an amazing collection of 2 string basses such as the one pictured here, including a rocket ship and an automobile fender….

Ok, let me get one thing straight!! Stig’s basses are NOT fake or photoshopped! THEY ARE REAL!
I took the photo up above with Stigge playing on his brand new bass back in 2005.. Stig is playing playing the Denmarks biggest rockband D-A-D (formerly known as Disneyland After Dark), which recently celebrated their 25 years anniversary as a still going rockband. Stig is well known for his amazing 2 stringhed basses, which most of time are very special made, and his amazing outfits! I’ve been a D-A-D fan since 1996 and entered 36 concerts so far and I KNOW that all of his basses are FOR REAL! Kindly regards from Tina Carstensen
