Being a crazy about guitars I've been collecting photos of the best looking custom guitar designs I find online for a few years. There are some incredible, unique and plain weird guitar makers out there that the greater world will never know, and so I felt it was my duty to go through my own collection and create a public gallery of only the very best most artistic and beautiful of these guitar designs. Even if you've hunted online for cool guitar designs before I'm sure you'll find some here you've never seen.
This gallery is a work in progress and continues to be added to over time. Please book mark this page and visit from time to time.
Also, feel free to contribute by sending me a link in the comments below (no need to register), but remember the keywords here are "artistic" and "beautiful". Beautiful can mean quirky or even weird and strange, but still has to have it's own kind of beauty–know what I mean? There are thousands of guitars out there which while artistic in their own right, I wouldn't want to be caught dead with.

Fourth one is the sexiest guitar design ever!
I like the silver sword guitar with wings.
Definitely amazing designs! Great and unique. I would love to design my own guitar now. I think I’m inspired and motivated looking at all these wonderful pictures.
Wow! very nice, I really want my guitar to be like these designs, sings my heart out!
You have some amazing guitars, I especially like the angel ones. You have a true talent.
I never realized how diverse they can make guitars. That said, I am always a fan of shapes and textures when it comes to fashion, design and now, custom guitars. Therefore, the guitars that caught my eye are the one with the snake head protruding above the surfice and the hot rod flame shaped guitar. I saw a CBS News piece the other day in which they interviewed a master craftsman who hand carves custom guitars. He managed to create some pretty elaborate designs with his bare hands and traditional methods. Are the guitars in this photo gallery made with computers?
There are some incredible designs that are so complex, I wonder if it is even feasible to play them. Maybe they’re just made for show as a mantel piece. The most complex guitars I saw are the demon and angel wings in the first row (pictures three and four) as well as on row number four. Also, the one with the tarantula arms protruding from the body (on the ninth row). How are these made? Are those shapes made of wood, fiber glass or some other make shift material? I would not be surprised if some other material was used sort of like when special effects artists use prosthetics or silicone to make a shape or texture possible?
This is an awakening for me. I had no idea until I saw this gallery that guitars could be made in so many elaborate ways. The circuit board art work on the gray guitars is very cool. And then that guitar that looks just like a sword with angel wings is magnificent! OMG If I had the money, I would buy that, So I may have to settle for an arm and a leg to pay for it. How appropriate since the guitar is a sword.
The guitar on Row 13 and column 4 looks so complex, it doesn’t even look like a guitar. It seems to have so many moving parts that it looks more like a clock or like an large scale model of the Antikythera mechanism (a Greek or Roman invention and the oldest known scientific calculator). I am surprised some of these guitars are even playable. Are these even meant to be played or are they created as show pieces for guitar makers?
Yes, please do keep adding to this incredible photo gallery. If people are as busy as I am, then they don’t have enough free time at any one given moment, to view and appreciate all of the guitar images here. I have been returning to here to see more of the photos when I have time to kill. I got to wonder about some of these guitar designs, especially the complicated bodies. Are you able to even play them? And what about the tropical island guitar…is that like a Chia pet project in progress? LOL. I look forward to seeing more unbelievable works of art. So Keep them coming. And thank you sir, may I have [see] another!
