In this 10 minute lesson you'll learn exactly how chords are made and how to make your own in plain and simple terms. This is a must lesson for beginner guitarists, or players who have never thought much about the chords they play.
My goal with 10-Minute Guitar Lessons is for you to have fun and play guitar, not to get bogged down in practice and playing things you're not interested in.
Sorry about the low quality of this video, when I recorded it I didn't realize my camera was set to low res instead of high res

Hey Dave, much appreciated. Thank you.
Hey Dude,
It will draw more attention from the masses.
Nice work done. Keep it up and plz. you should show your complete video and not cutting of the face.
You Rock!!
Thanks Metal Guy. I’ve just got a second camera so I’m planning to have one full shot and one close up for future videos which I can edit together. I appreciate your feedback.
Hi Michael,
It was great lesson. Got great Information.
Thanks for Wonderful lesson.
Regards Amit
Great information..thanks fr sharing..this
Hey Michael I thought it was great keep up the
the good work will be waiting.
I thought your lesson was awesome, if your paying attention you can really learn quite a bit in ten minutes, I wish they would take that in to account in school. Anyway I thought your video was alright even though it was in low resolution I bet the next one will rock, and I agree with Metal Guy you definitely need to get your face in there, you might inspire some girls to start playing man. Looking forward to the next lesson I will go on the YouTube channel and sign up so I know when it is coming. I couldn’t think of anything else to teach yet but give me a couple of days I’ll come up with something.
This was actually very fun it reminded me of Guitar Hero, trying to keep up with you but I found it very educational. I can’t wait for lesson number two where we learn the 9th chords and the power chords I think that will be even more fun than this one was. And when you post that one for learning the blues that is going to be awesome, I can’t wait. Do you suppose that when you record the future ones that you could show your face in the video as you are talking though, it was kind of creepy just looking at your hands while you talk. I look forward to the rest of your lessons and I hope that you get some more ideas from readers so that they last longer than just a couple of weeks. Thanks for doing such a great job an putting this together.
Hah, yeah, part of the reason I haven’t done another video yet is because I recently got a second camera so I can have one where you see my face and another on my hands. So I’m working on putting that together. It’s unanimous everyone wants to see my face
Thanks.
This is a great idea, teaching guitar lesson right online in ten minute segments that is awesome. I would bet that you will learn in these ten minute segments the same amount that you would learn if you paid for lessons one hour at a time. I have often thought the drag those class out just so they can get more money so I am really liking this idea of yours. I am really looking forward to the one you said you are going to do on playing faster and the one on playing the blues. Have you ever thought about maybe teaching some of the eighties music as well? Guitars were big in the Hair Bands of the eighties and there was a lot of good music. You were asking for any ideas on something that we would like to learn and I guess that would be mine, I would like to learn some eighties songs. This has been very entertaining even though we couldn’t see your face. If you aren’t going to show your face at least put a face on one of your hands so we feel like we are talking to someone not at them.
This is a basic lesson that I really benefited from because I have been wanting to learn how to play the guitar, but hadn’t a clue as to how to read music. This lesson provides a good starting point. Even so, it still requires practice to put it all together and play a an actual song. On the other hand, it seems that once you have a handle on playing major and minor chords, it is easier to understand how some guitar players I have seen can sing about anything and play the strings off the cuff and still sound well rehearsed / polished.
